Acceptance of Terms

By requesting, scheduling, or accepting any towing or roadside assistance service from Central One Towing — whether you call our dispatch line at (855) 952-3687, submit a service request through our website, or flag down one of our drivers on the roadway — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these User Terms of Service. These terms apply to all customers receiving light-duty towing, medium-duty box truck towing, heavy-duty semitruck towing, emergency roadside assistance (including jump starts, lockout service, flat tire changes, and fuel delivery), accident recovery, vehicle transport, and any other services we provide throughout Wake County, Durham County, and the greater Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. Central One Towing reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice; your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Service Agreement and Scope

When you contact Central One Towing for a tow or roadside assistance in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Garner, Wake Forest, Knightdale, or any other Triangle location we serve, you enter into a binding service agreement with our company. We commit to dispatching a professional, licensed driver and appropriate tow truck or service vehicle to your location as quickly as possible — typically within 30 minutes during normal conditions, though response times may vary during severe weather, high call volumes, or traffic incidents. Our scope of service includes light-duty towing for sedans, coupes, compact SUVs, and minivans; medium-duty towing for box trucks, delivery vans, full-size pickups, and larger SUVs; heavy-duty towing for semitrucks, tractor-trailers, motorhomes, buses, and commercial equipment; roadside battery jump starts using professional-grade equipment; lockout service with damage-free entry tools; flat tire changes (using your spare or temporary tire); fuel delivery when you run out of gas; winching and recovery for vehicles stuck in ditches, mud, or snow; and long-distance transport to destinations across North Carolina or out of state. You agree to provide accurate information about your vehicle (make, model, year, condition, whether it is front-wheel, rear-wheel, or all-wheel drive) and your exact location (street address, highway mile marker, or GPS coordinates) to help us dispatch the correct equipment and arrive promptly.

Payment Terms and Pricing

Payment for all Central One Towing services is due in full at the time of service completion, before your vehicle is released from our tow truck or before our driver departs your roadside location. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit and debit cards. If your service is covered by motor club membership (AAA, Better World Club, Allstate Motor Club) or automobile insurance roadside assistance (State Farm, Geico, Progressive, USAA), please inform our dispatcher when you call so we can verify coverage and bill your provider directly; you remain responsible for any amount exceeding your coverage limits or denied claims. Prices quoted by our dispatcher are good-faith estimates based on the information you provide; final charges may differ if actual conditions vary (for example, if your vehicle is larger or heavier than described, if access is more difficult than anticipated, if additional winching or recovery work is required, if the tow distance is greater than estimated, or if hazardous materials or special equipment are involved). Our base towing rate starts at a hookup fee plus a per-mile charge from our yard at 4312 Wake Forest Road in Raleigh to your pickup location, then from pickup to your chosen drop-off location; roadside assistance services (jump start, lockout, tire change, fuel delivery) are billed at flat rates plus any materials (fuel, oil, tire sealant). Storage fees apply if your vehicle is towed to our secure impound lot and not retrieved the same day; rates are posted at our office and comply with North Carolina Department of Transportation regulations. We do not accept personal checks. Sales tax is added to all charges as required by North Carolina law.

Customer Responsibilities

As a customer of Central One Towing, you have certain responsibilities to ensure safe, efficient service. You must provide truthful, accurate information when requesting service — misrepresenting your vehicle type, location, or situation may result in delays, additional charges, or service refusal. You are responsible for removing all personal belongings, valuables, and loose items from your vehicle before it is towed; Central One Towing is not liable for items left inside the vehicle, and we strongly recommend taking your registration, insurance documents, phone chargers, medications, child safety seats, and any high-value items with you. If your vehicle is being towed from private property (apartment complex, shopping center, business parking lot), you must have legal authority to authorize the tow or be the registered owner or lienholder; we reserve the right to request identification and proof of ownership. You agree not to interfere with our driver's work or attempt to operate towing equipment yourself. If your vehicle contains hazardous materials (propane tanks, gasoline cans, paint, chemicals), firearms, or illegal substances, you must disclose this to our dispatcher before service; we may decline to tow vehicles that pose safety or legal risks. You are responsible for securing or removing custom accessories, aftermarket parts, loose bumpers, or damaged components that could fall off during transport. If you request that we tow your vehicle to a repair shop, storage facility, or residence that is closed or inaccessible when we arrive, you will be charged for the full tow and any waiting time; it is your responsibility to confirm the destination is open and able to receive your vehicle.

Liability and Insurance

Central One Towing carries comprehensive commercial general liability insurance and garage keepers legal liability insurance as required by North Carolina law and our contracts with motor clubs and insurance companies. We take every precaution to transport your vehicle safely using proper towing techniques, wheel lifts, flatbeds, dollies, and tie-down straps appropriate for your vehicle type. However, towing inherently involves some risk, especially with vehicles that are already damaged, inoperable, or in precarious positions. Central One Towing is not liable for pre-existing damage to your vehicle, mechanical or electrical failures unrelated to the towing process, damage caused by prior accidents or collisions, rust or corrosion, cracked glass or windshields that were already compromised, low-hanging aftermarket body kits or spoilers that drag during loading, or issues arising from your vehicle's condition (such as fluid leaks, failing transmissions, or worn suspension components). We are not responsible for damage to vehicles with instructions left by third parties (such as police impounds or private property tows) if the vehicle owner was not present to provide specific loading instructions. If you believe our service caused damage to your vehicle, you must notify us in writing within 48 hours and provide photographs, repair estimates, and a detailed description; claims submitted after this window may not be considered. Our liability is limited to the actual cash value of the damage directly caused by our negligence, not to exceed the total amount you paid for the towing service. We do not provide coverage for consequential damages such as lost wages, rental car expenses, or inconvenience. Any damage claims are subject to investigation and may require inspection by our insurance adjuster.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We understand that plans change and emergencies evolve. You may cancel your towing or roadside assistance request at any time before our driver arrives at your location by calling our dispatch line at (855) 952-3687. If you cancel before our driver is dispatched or within the first five minutes after dispatch, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel after our driver has been en route for more than five minutes, a cancellation fee of $50 applies to cover fuel, driver time, and opportunity cost (we may have declined other service calls to respond to yours). If our driver arrives at your specified location and you are not present, cannot be reached by phone, or refuse service, you will be charged a $75 no-show fee; this fee increases to $100 if your vehicle is located on a highway, toll road, or other high-risk location where our driver is exposed to traffic danger. If you request that we tow your vehicle and then decide you want to drive it yourself or have someone else tow it after our driver has hooked up the vehicle, you will be charged the full towing fee. No-show and cancellation fees are due immediately and may be billed to the credit card on file or collected by our driver. Repeat cancellations or no-shows may result in our refusal to accept future service requests from your phone number.

Towing and Storage Lien Rights

Under North Carolina General Statutes § 44A-2, Central One Towing has the legal right to retain possession of your vehicle and assert a lien for unpaid towing, recovery, and storage charges. If you do not pay for services rendered and do not retrieve your vehicle from our secure impound lot at 4312 Wake Forest Road in Raleigh within the time allowed by law, we may initiate lien sale proceedings to recover our costs. You will be notified by certified mail of any lien claim and given an opportunity to pay the outstanding balance or contest the charges before any sale occurs. Storage fees accrue daily and are your responsibility until the vehicle is released. If your vehicle is towed at the request of law enforcement (DWI arrest, evidence hold, abandoned vehicle) or private property owners, you must satisfy all legal requirements and pay all fees before we can release the vehicle to you, even if you dispute the tow. We comply with all North Carolina Department of Transportation rules regarding notice, fees, and sale procedures.

Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These User Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the services provided by Central One Towing shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation between you and our management. If informal resolution is not successful, you agree that any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts. You waive any objection to venue in Wake County. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Central One Towing regarding the use of our services and supersede any prior agreements, understandings, or representations.

We use this data solely to provide, improve, and invoice for our towing and roadside assistance services. We do not sell your information to third parties. We may share your information with motor clubs, insurance companies, law enforcement, or towing industry partners as necessary to fulfill service requests or comply with legal obligations.
